Hello,

I’m Laura (she/her) and I’m a counsellor and psychotherapist.

I have experienced the healing and transformational potential of therapy first-hand, both as client and as counsellor. It is a privilege for me to sit with people while they move through their unique challenges and we find ways through together. I love what I do.

Since achieving my Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, I have worked with people in various stages of their journey. As a Suicide Prevention Therapist, I supported men in crisis via short-term, intensive therapy. As a Person-Centred therapist for a UK-based non-profit, I engaged in long-term counselling relationships, with clients who were recovering from and making sense of past trauma. While much of my work has focused on healing from distress, I also work with people who choose to engage in therapy to learn more about themselves and their way of being in the world.

My passion is the healing power of relationship and holding spaces where people can feel deeply heard and accepted. While I draw on various approaches, person-centred theory is at the heart of my practice. At its core, this is about supporting and empowering people to access their own resources, and to find their own unique way forward. You can read more about person-centred therapy here:

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. This means that my training has met their professional standards and that I abide by their professional code of ethics.
